New York’s Hudson Valley is rich with stunning river views and wildlife. I often venture there for day trips or summer weeks, taking my camera along. In July and August, butterflies visit the wildflowers and frogs croak from pools. As fall migration begins, the Hudson River fills with flocks of Great Egrets and Great Blue Heron. Favorite places include Rockefeller State Park, Esopus Meadows Preserve, the Edith Read Sanctuary and Croton Point Park.
